Hurricane Preparedness - News From Sun
Hurricane Preparedness - News From Sun
Dear Residents,
Hurricanes are an unfortunate reality in Florida and as per the National Weather Service, we may be seeing effects from the current storm. Hurricane Eta is now a CAT-1 and is continuing to gain strength. Eta has also altered her course to potentially move directly over the top of Crystal River/Homosassa, arriving tonight/tomorrow 1am-1pm.
This email is being sent to help you with local numbers and preparedness. Keeping informed about the approaching storm is of utmost importance. Please be sure to bring all outside items indoors including furniture and decorations. Trim all loose palm fronds as well as dead tree limbs and secure landscaping. If the authorities call for an evacuation and you are looking for a local shelter, there are several within driving distance (see below). Please note that THE CLUBHOUSE IS NOT A DESIGNATED SHELTER and the pool will remain closed until it is safe to reopen. In case of a power outage, we will be tying the front gates open to allow for emergency personnel to enter.
